Eric Blodgett had suggested Goodfellow for the award because of all their extra work with grants and programs. They also believe that Goodfellow showed excellent leadership when it came to the sheriff transition. Goodfellow sets an example and is an incredible officer according to Blodgett.

Sheriff Bill Meyerrose congratulated Lt. Goodfellow. The Sheriff stated that he is lucky for all the staff in the department who carry the heavy load.
