Greensburg Water Board

The Greensburg Water Board met on Tuesday.

This month’s employee recognition went to Elis Bogger. They were born and raised in Bartholomew County and currently lives in Hope with his wife Claudia. Bogger enjoys camping, hiking, gardening, and spending time with his wife. They are always willing to learn things and is a valuable asset to the Water Plant. Their favorite part about the job is the value and responsibility of serving the community.

Darren Burkhart came to the board to discuss the South Water Tower. They have been looking at what needs done to the tank, as the coating is starting to show its age. They presented a scope of services in which they would do an evaluation of the current tank state and what improvements need done to bring it into current standards. The tank does have lead, which is currently encapsulated, and would need to be dealt with. They are going to come up with some cost and time estimates and hope to be down with this work and present the plan in about 2 months. This would cost $27,000. This was approved.

The May 2023 MRO was approved.
