Greensburg Board of Zoning Appeals

The Greensburg Board of Zoning Appeals met on Tuesday.

There was a public hearing for a variance for 6 ft. fence in front yard at 911 W. Walnut St. There was no public comment.

There was a public hearing for a Special Exception for Decatur Commerce Group at 1531 N. Commerce Drive East. There was no public comment.

Tyler Schutte came to the board to request a variance for a 6 ft. fence in front vard of residence. The residence is on a corner lot which means that it technically has two front yards. This would not obstruct the traffic view. This was approved.

Dennis Hagerty with Decatur Commerce Group came to the board seeking a special exception for a church to be in an I-1 zoning. They believe that the church would be a good fit for what is there currently. There is plenty of parking according to state and city regulations. The traffic will primarily be on Sundays and anything else would be very small. This was approved.
