From Decatur County Sheriff Dave Durant
Greensburg, IN – On March 5, 2022, emergency response was requested for an unresponsive male at the Decatur County Detention Center. Ricky Hazelgrove, age 52, was found unresponsive in his cell. Lifesaving measures were attempted, and Hazelgrove was transported to the Decatur County Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The Indiana State Police is currently investigating this occurrence. No further information is available currently.
Sheriff Durant would like to offer his condolences to the family of Mr. Hazelgrove and asks for prayers for the family at this time.
