Monday morning we suffered a loss of one of our own when Scott Litmer passed away. Those who knew Scott knew that he was a one of a kind man. Scott proudly served as a volunteer firefighter with the New Point Volunteer Fire Department for 35 years. Scott was more than a firefighter, he was a husband, big brother to his younger brother Chris, friend, and a brother to all of us within the fire service. He helped to organize each of our fundraisers, helped write grant applications, as well as many other behind the scenes projects for the department. At this time, we ask that you please keep his wife, brother, and his fellow brothers and sisters in the fire service in your prayers and thoughts. Rest in peace Scotty, we’ll take it from here.
