North Decatur Elementary Hosts Honor Society Induction Ceremony

The North Decatur Elementary Chapter of the National Elementary Honor Society hosted an Induction Ceremony on Monday February 24th at 6:00 pm at the North Decatur Elementary School Gymnasium.

Fifth Grade Inductees include: Caroline Bedel, Grant Biltz, Braylee Bowles, Lillian Burkett, Arwen Choate, Ayden Davidson, Zander Dillon, Maverick Dixon, Kristopher Dwiggins, Kaelyn Eicher, Charles Ford, Riley Franklin, Stella George, Brayden Goldsmith, Claire Grote, Kelly Horstman, Leighton Hostkoetter, Finley Jones, Cressa Kohrman, Grant Koors, Evan Koors, Parker Lanter, Charlotte Lawburgh, MaKenna McDonald, Emmitt Metz, Skyla Moore, Kendall Nicholson, Nicholas Owens, Cooper Schoettmer, Luke Stone, Elizabeth Stuart, Brianna Trenkamp, Jacob Wagner, Ellen Walterman, Hayden Walton.

Sixth Grade Inductees include: Brailee Cathey, Adler Kellems, and Emily Stier.

Guests were welcomed by Mr. Rob Smith, Principal at NDE. A procession of the students followed. Mrs. Melissa Wallpe, Council Member, explained the criteria for selection to the Honor Society.

Everyone joined together for the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a Candle Lighting ceremony and the Induction Pledge. Certificates were presented to the students by Mr. Jeremy Sherman, Assistant Principal at NDE.

The National Elementary Honor Society Pledge: Be a strong student, achieving the most from my education. Demonstrate Responsibility, showing enthusiasm and working hard in all that I do,

Learn the skills of Leadership, practicing them in all aspects of my life,

Be of Service to my school and community, showing that I care, And be a role model for my peers, helping us all achieve our best.

Faculty Council for NDE Honor Society is Mrs. Susan Hartman, Chapter Adviser, Mrs. Melissa Wallpe, Mrs. Evelyn Bayse and Miss Jackie Blair.
