North Decatur Jr.Sr. High School Principal Debbie Reynolds sent out a letter to parents and students which stated:
North Decatur Jr/Sr High School administrators and School Resource Officers received information concerning rumors of a possible threat to our school. Students who overheard these comments quickly reported this information. Collaborative efforts between NDHS administration, DCCS SROs, Decatur County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police, and cooperative parents revealed the potential threat and the handling of the situation.
Reynolds noted in the letter that there were no signs of any safety issues, that they do not take any threat lightly, and they are appreciative of students who see something and say something.
