Greensburg has a brand-new destination for creative minds to gather, relax, and get inspired—Tree City Craft Retreats, owned and operated by Jim and Jennifer Black. Located at 1439 W Park Rd, this cozy, welcoming retreat offers a unique space where crafters of all kinds can come together for a getaway.
The Blacks are no strangers to the retreat business. They first launched their venture with the Hickory Road Inn in the Oldenburg area, purchasing the property from the Bennett Family upon their retirement. They quickly transformed the traditional bed and breakfast into a haven for crafting retreats, discovering a strong demand for such a niche offering. Thanks to the success of that initial location, the idea for a second retreat space—this time in Greensburg—was born.
What was once a single-family home is now a beautifully renovated space designed specifically with crafters in mind. The Tree City Craft Retreat can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests at a time, making it the perfect spot for girls’ weekends, quilting bees, sewing circles, scrapbooking marathons, knitting getaways, and more. The spacious layout includes a large central crafting area, a kitchen with a dining area and living room just steps away, and 3 ½ baths to ensure everyone stays comfortable throughout their retreat.
And forget the hassle of third-party booking platforms—Jennifer Black handles all reservations directly, offering a more personalized experience from start to finish.
Jennifer shared that Greensburg’s location along I-74, nestled between Indianapolis and Cincinnati, makes it an ideal meeting point for friends from across the region. “We’ve had guests come from Illinois, Tennessee, Michigan—and even one from California,” she said.
Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy everything Greensburg has to offer during their stay, from shopping and dining to exploring the community.
The retreat officially welcomed its first group last month and already has bookings scheduled sporadically throughout the upcoming year.
