The Greensburg & Decatur County Chamber of Commerce held its monthly Leaders and Lagers one day later than normal to host the 1822 Bicentennial Alleyway Ribbon Cutting on September 18, 2024.
In this photo Mr. Pratt cut the ribbon when the countdown person said 1, 2, and then cut. He didn’t even make it to 3.
This was the finale of the Bicentennial Projects for Decatur County. The event was well attended with attendees enjoying Hillbilly Corner ice cream, Langen Meats kabobs and water, and the tAAp offered a cash bar. It was a wonderful event highlighting this wonderful project.
The success of the project can be attributed to the hard work of the City of Greensburg, Visit Greensburg, Main Street Greensburg, and various other bicentennial sponsors and supporters.
During the speeches we heard from Dawn Lowe, Greensburg & Decatur County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Mayor Joshua Marsh, Bicentennial Chair John Pratt, Honda Indiana Auto Plant Representative Brad Boyd, and Mainstreet Executive Director Allie Beck.
