GREENSBURG, IN.— On 06/19/2023, at approximately 7:54P.M., Greensburg Police
Officers were alerted to the location of a male known by officers to have a warrant out of
Fayette County Indiana. Officer Kaitlin Jackowicz arrived in the area and located the male
leaving the area of Washington St. and Lincoln St. in a blue PT Cruiser. Officer Jackowicz
activated her emergency lights and siren. The blue PT Cruiser then began to flee the area. The
male driver was identified as Bryce Bower (27) of Greensburg.
Greensburg Police pursued the vehicle for approx. 2 blocks before the vehicle came to a stop
and Bower fled on foot. Officer Jackowicz gave chase through several alleys and backyards.
Officer Jackowicz lost sight of Bower, but believed him to still be in the area.
Police units arrived in the area and setup a perimeter. Greensburg Police K9’s were called in to
locate Bower. Approx. 50 minutes later Police K9 unit Hercules located Bower hiding in a
grown-up fence line. Bower was apprehended without further incident.
Bower was treated at the hospital for a reported injury and transported to the Decatur County
Detention Center.
Bower has been preliminarily charged on allegations involving the following offenses: Resisting Law Enforcement with a Motor Vehicle a Level 6 Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine a Level 6 Felony and
Criminal Recklessness a Class B-Misdemeanor

Under Indiana Law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendants are presumed
to be innocent unless, and until they are proven guilty in a court of Law.
