Greensburg Soccer

Greensburg opened their soccer season at home vs the Madison Cubs and lost 7-0. Madison came out and scored in the game’s first minute and set the tone from there. Greensburg held for the next twenty minutes, but Madison finished the half with four more goals to push the halftime lead to 5. Greensburg were able to muster shots on goal in the second half from sophomore defenders Christopher Mains and Joey Yake, but the offense could not get going. Junior goalkeeper Braylon Hahn also registered 12 saves and was a bright spot for the Pirate defense all game. Madison scored two more before the final whistle, ending the game at 7-0 in favor of the away team. The Pirates are back in action on Thursday against conference opponent South Dearborn.
