The Lady Pirates traveled to Lawrenceburg along with the Boys team to compete with the Tigers. The Lady Pirates fell 8-0.
Senior Captain Keeper Ella Lowe saw 48 minutes of playtime before she would leave with an injury. She had 19 shots on goal and managed to keep all but 4 off the scoreboard. Junior Captain and Backup Keeper Emilee Erstes stepped in for Lowe. She saw 16 shots on goal and again only allowed 4 to count for the Tigers.
Senior Emily Million, Senior Scotlynn Reinhold, and Freshman Genevieve Smith had several stops and deflections from shots on goal that helped the Pirate Keepers in some high-pressure attacks from the Tigers.
This brings the Lady Pirates to 3-5 on the season and 0-4 in the conference. The Lady Pirates have an aggressive schedule this week. They face South Dearborn on Tuesday, East Central on Wednesday, Connersville on Thursday, and Triton Central on Saturday. All are away except East Central. This will lead the Pirates into Sectional week.
