Our undefeated season came to an end tonight as we were defeated by Bloomington North 4-1. We competed well in some positions, but we got beat by a better team. Jenna Foster lost at #1 singles 2-6 3-6, Abigail Hoeing lost at #2 singles 1-6 1-6 and Mary Harmon was defeated 0-6 0-6. In doubles, Janae Comer and Ella Chapman lost 2-6 0-6 and Hailey Duerstock and Josie Nobbe were able to pick up our lone win 6-1 6-3. This group of girls is unique; they are athletic and competitive, supportive of each other, very coachable, and so pleasant to be around. They ended with an 18-1 record and were conference and sectional champions. That’s a lot to be proud of!
