Greensburg tennis picked up their first conference win of the season defeating Batesville 5-0. It was the best we have played as a team; however, believe it or not, this is only our fourth match of the season. At #1 singles, Jenna Foster defeated Summer Radcliffe 6-1, 6-0. Jenna lost the first game of the match and then played very well securing a solid win. At #2 singles, Abigail Hoeing defeated Laney Walsman 6-2 6-0, and at #2 singles, Josie Nobbe defeated Molly Meer 6-0 6-0. In doubles action, the #1 team of Ella Chapman and Janae Comer defeated Cayman Werner and Isabelle Wonnell 6-0 6-0 and our #2 doubles team of Morgan Cain and Hailey Duerstock defeated Belle Westerfeld and Annie Negovetich 6-1 6-0. In JV action, Leah West and Claire Nobbe defeated Jada Day and Josie Meyer 8-0. It’s always good to start conference play with a win. I’m pleased with the outcome of the match, but there is definitely much we need to work on. We are 3-1.
