Greensburg Tennis win 4/26/22

from Coach June Rigney

Greensburg defeated possible sectional opponent, Jennings County 4-1. It was a very good night for us. We showed a lot of heart and I was very pleased with our focus and effort. Winning a very competitive match at #1 singles was Jenna Foster, winning 6-3, 7-5. Jenna was down 2-5 in the second set and battled back to win. Jenna should be so proud of her play tonight and her mental toughness. At #2 singles, Abigail Hoeing lost a heartbreaker 4-6, 6-3, 10-12. Josie Nobbe put together a solid performance being first off the court winning 6-0, 6-0. Our #1 doubles team of Janae Comer and Ella Chapman won 7-5, 6-0. They were down early in the match, made some adjustments to capture the first set and then made a statement in the second set. At our #2 doubles spot, Morgan Cain and Hailey Duerstock were very much in control tonight winning 6-1, 6-0. In JV action, Kayla Kramer easily won her singles, 6-0, Leah West followed her lead winning 6-1 and the doubles team of Claire Nobbe and Annie Pumphrey were victorious tonight as well winning 6-1. We are now 6-2.
