North Decatur High School Varsity Baseball falls to Hauser Jr./Sr. High School

Game RecapNorth Decatur Chargers Varsity stayed in it until the end, but Hauser (Hope, IN) pulled away late in a 12-11 victory on Friday.  The game was tied at 11 with Hauser (Hope, IN) batting in the top of the seventh when McIntyre singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

North Decatur Chargers Varsity collected 13 hits and Hauser (Hope, IN) had 12 in the high-scoring affair.

North Decatur Chargers Varsity got on the board in the first inning when Tyler Dean singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Hauser (Hope, IN) scored five runs in the fourth inning.  Wasil, Pittman, and Worland all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

London led things off on the mound for Hauser (Hope, IN). The ace allowed seven hits and six runs over one and one-third innings, striking out one.

Dean toed the rubber for North Decatur Chargers Varsity. The righty went three and two-thirds innings, allowing eight runs on six hits and striking out two.  Kamdenn McKinney and Xander Jones entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and one and one-third innings respectively.

North Decatur Chargers Varsity collected 13 hits on the day.  Dean, James Evans, Brayden Hancock, and Ried Messer all managed multiple hits for North Decatur Chargers Varsity.  Messer, Hancock, Evans, and Dean each collected two hits to lead North Decatur Chargers Varsity.

Hauser (Hope, IN) saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game.  Gill, McIntyre, and Wasil each collected multiple hits for Hauser (Hope, IN).
