Hauser Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory
Chargers watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 17-2 loss to Hauser on Saturday. Hauser took the lead on a single in the first inning.
The Chargers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Hauser, giving up 17 runs.
Hauser got things moving in the first inning. Hauser scored one run when Kyra Meister singled.
Hauser scored nine runs in the fifth inning. Hauser’s big inning was driven by singles by Maley JordanKaydence GatesKenze Bostic, and Isabella Brunner, an error on a ball put in play by Hannah Taylor and Lucie Asher, and a walk by Brunner.
Paige Mcdaniel pitched Hauser to victory. The ace allowed five hits and two runs over three innings, striking out four and walking zero. Gates threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Gates recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Hauser.
Keesha Crosland took the loss for ChargersCrosland went two innings, allowing 11 runs on 11 hits, striking out one and walking one.
Crosland led Chargers with two hits in two at bats.
Hauser tallied 13 hits. JordanBrunner, and Meister all had multiple hits for Hauser. Hauser was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Jordan made the most plays with six.

The Chargers are now 4-3 on the season and play next on Tuesday at home against Greensburg.
