The Lady Pirates battled the Norwell Knights in the State Championship game on Saturday evening. The first quarter was a back and forth of scores with Norwell in the lead at the end 13-11. Second quarter was more tie scores than leading points for the Ladies. The end of the second was tied up at 24. The story of the third quarter goes to Norwell where they pulled away from Greensburg. 39-33 was the six point lead for Norwell at the end of the third. Fourth quarter had the Pirates shooting but not scoring. The Knights were able to score off of turnovers and foul shots taking the lead out to 11 at one point. The Norwell Knights were victorious against the Pirates.- The Lady Pirates went into the State game undefeated in 3A so an amazing season.
