North Decatur Cross Country

The Chargers of North Decatur ran in a very difficult Sectional on Saturday at Brown County and had a tremendous showing with three individuals advancing to next Saturday’s Evansville Regional at Angel Mounds. Senior Jackson White placed 26th overall in the boys race with a time of 17:33 and Junior Harper Gunn crossed the line in 39th with a time of 18:18 earning a spot in the single class Regional next weekend. Sophomore Norah Amberger punched her ticket for the second consecutive year finishing in a time of 24:34 to join Jackson and Harper in representing North Decatur Cross Country beyond the local area.

Also performing well for North Decatur on Saturday for the boys were Eli Weisenbach who just missed out on advancing crossing the line with a time of 18:38. Michael Gomola 19:42, Jayden Lawrence 20:30, Logan Summey 20:52, and Sam Cathey 21:20 all ran great for the Chargers and completed a tremendous season for the Chargers as a team.

For the Lady Chargers, Emerson Gunn 27:20, Ava Lecher 27:52. Olivia Reisman 28:05, and Lauren Miller 28:51 all ran hard and with tremendous determination to help score for the team.

The Charger Cross Country program would like to thank and congratulate the following Seniors who concluded tremendous careers and who helped push the program to a higher standard by their hard work daily. They will be missed! Seniors include Jackson White, Eli Weisenbach, Sam Cathey, Teagan Striecker, Jake Dimett, Ava Lecher, Olivia Reisman, Dorothy Robbins, and Lauren Miller.
