| Hauser defeated North Decatur Varsity Chargers 9-0 on Wednesday at North Decatur High School thanks in part to five runs in the seventh inning. Hauser got on the board in the top of the sixth inning after Simeon Wasil grounded out, scoring one run, Kameron Blair singled, scoring one run, and Peyton Bennett singled, scoring two runs. Hauser scored five runs on three hits in the top of the seventh inning. Wasil doubled, scoring two runs, Dillion Lambert singled, scoring one run, and Lukas Christian singled, scoring two runs. Wasil earned the win for Hauser. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 14 and walking four. Kamdenn McKinney took the loss for North Decatur Varsity Chargers. The hurler went five and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on six hits, striking out seven and walking none. Matthew Fields led North Decatur Varsity Chargers with one hit in three at bats. North Decatur Varsity Chargers didn’t commit a single error in the field. Nolan Burkhart had the most chances in the field with nine. Hauser accumulated 10 hits in the game. Lambert, Wasil, and Christian each collected two hits for Hauser. Bennett, Wasil, and Christian each drove in two runs for Hauser. Stryker Gill stole two bases. Hauser stole four bases in the game. Next up for North Decatur Varsity Chargers is a game at Hauser on Thursday. |
