North Decatur Middle School Baseball beat South Decatur Jr-Sr High School 11-3


The Charger Jr. High baseball team really showed up to play on Friday night as they sent rival South Decatur home with a loss.  The Chargers team scored early and often throughout the night.  

Leading the onslaught offensively was Garrett Schwering and Eli Trenkamp.  Both players tallied 2 hits on the night.  Schwering capped the his nice evening with a triple to deep left center field. 

Also tallying hits for the Chargers were Hayden Ramsey, Dekon Ramsey, Brayden Murray and Parker Morris.  

The Chargers had a great night on the bases as well swiping 11 bags on the night.  Brayden Murray led the way with 3 steals. 

Eli Trenkamp got the nod for the Chargers and threw the ball really well.  He threw 3.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 5 Cougar batters.  Ethan Smith came in to finish out the game for the Charger pitching the final 2.1 innings while striking out 4.  

The Chargers are back in action on Tuesday and Friday at home.
