North Decatur Chargers Varsity Drops Game To Union County After Late Score
Tuesday’s game against Union County was a heartbreaker for North Decatur Chargers Varsity, as they lost the lead late in a 17-5 defeat. Union County was down 3-2 in the top of the fifth inning when Mason Hornung singled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.
The North Decatur Chargers Varsity struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Union County, giving up 17 runs.
Alex Vanwinkle led things off on the hill for Union County. The hurler went two innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out five and walking one.
