Greensburg Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory
North Decatur Chargers Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 4-1 loss to Greensburg on Tuesday. Greensburg scored on a groundout by Emma Deweese in the first inning, a error in the second inning, and a single by Allison Ripperger in the second inning.
North Decatur Chargers Varsity lost despite out-hitting Greensburg four to three.
Greensburg opened up scoring in the first inning, when Deweese grounded out, scoring one run.
Hermione Robinson took the win for Greensburg. Robinson surrendered one run on four hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking zero.
Keisha Crosland took the loss for North Decatur Chargers Varsity . The righthander allowed three hits and four runs over six innings, striking out four.
Sarah Swain, Crosland, Kacie Ogden, and Kennedy Stier each managed one hit to lead North Decatur Chargers Varsity .
Melina Wilkison went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Greensburg in hits
