NORTH DECATUR HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS VARSITY VOLLEYBALL North Decatur High School Girls Varsity Volleyball falls to Eastern Hancock High School 3-1 Monday, August 19, 2019 The Lady Chargers fell in their season opener vs. the Eastern Hancock Royals in 4 sets. At times we played with a lot of hustle and energy which was great to see but ultimately, we committed too unforced errors. Leading the Charger attack was Caroline Stapp with 20 kills while Madelyn Bohman contributed 8 kills. Bohman also played well all-around by adding 3 aces, 3 solo blocks and 28 digs. Sami Luttel set 79/80 with 20 assists, Caroline Kennelly added 4 aces, Aubrey Kennelly added 4 kills and 26 digs and Ella Kunz contributed 3 solo blocks. Hannah Gorrell served consistently with 17/20 and 1 ace and also played well defensively and on serve receive. Finally, Madi Allen added 3 kills. Overall, good overall effort by the entire team! North JV lost in 2 sets vs the Royals. Ally Whitaker served 3 aces, Sydney Rohls added 5 kills and Kelsey Haley has 9 assists. |
