PIRATES 8TH GRADE NARROWLY FALL TO SHELBYVILLE
Pirates suffer close loss,41-37,versus Shelbyville on Thursday.
Despite the loss,Matthew Fields had a solid game with 17 points for the Pirates.
Shelbyville pulled away in the 2nd half after the game was tied at 21 at the half.
Trailing 28-27,Shelbyville went on a 7 point run to take the lead.
Pirates controlled the 2nd quarter,out scoring shelbyville 14-10.
Pirates controlledthe paint,grabbing 28 rebounds.Matthew Fields led the team with 9 rebounds.Fields know down 3 shots beyond the arc for the Pirates.Max Buening(10 pts),Sam Crowell(4 pts),Brennan Noah(3 pts),and Colt McCalvin(3 Pts) helped the Pirates as well.
