The Greensburg Pirates hosted Greenfield Central in the second game of the season on Friday. The Cougars scored early in the first but the Pirates returned the score. Greenfield Central did take the quarter 13-7. Both teams scored in the second quarter at halftime the Cougars led the Pirates 19-14. Neither team were able to score in the third. Greenfield took a determined lead early in the fourth while Greensburg was able to score late it wasn’t enough. Greenfield Central took the win 34-21.
The Pirates will travel to Connersville on Friday September 5 for kick off at 7pm.
