South Decatur over North Decatur 10-0 in Varsity Baseball – from North Decatur


North Decatur Chargers Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 10-0 loss to South Decatur on Tuesday. South Decatur took the lead on a home run in the first inning.
The North Decatur Chargers Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of South Decatur, giving up ten runs.
South Decatur got things started in the first inning. Seegers hit a solo homer.
A single by Nate O’Dell in the second inning was a positive for North Decatur Chargers Varsity.
Pate got the start for South Decatur. The ace went five innings, allowing zero runs on four hits and striking out six.
Carson Parmer led things off on the mound for North Decatur Chargers Varsity. The righty allowed eight hits and ten runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out 11. Trent Gauck threw one-third of an inning in relief.
O’Dell went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead North Decatur Chargers Varsity in hits.
Seegers led South Decatur with two hits in three at bats.
