Albert Wayne Small, Jr., 68, of Westport, passed away at 12:59 p.m. on Thursday,
August 6, 2026. He was born on December 12, 1957, in Indianapolis, Indiana the
son of Albert Wayne Small, Sr. and Delores (Worden) French. He had lived in
Indianapolis, Ripley County and Decatur County and was a truck driver. Albert
was a member of the NRA and had been a member of the Carpenter’s Union. He was a
grumpy old man who liked to ride his motorcycle. He loved John Wayne movies and
Bluegrass music. Albert liked to joke and was told he looked like Si from Duck
Dynasty. He is survived by his mother, Delores French; his daughters, Samantha
Kirk of Greensburg, Christina Grider (Joey Thompson) and Julie (John) Kontrik
both of Westport; son, Russell (Regina) McKay of Greensburg; sisters, Annette
Griffey of Spencer, Indiana and Nancy (Arthur) Cunningham of Indianapolis;
brother, Michael Small of Arizona; grandchildren, Abigail Small, Payton McKay,
Zachary Ralston, Ike VanHooser, Cheyenne, Dakota, Garret and Dalton Grider,
Sierra Moore, Journey Gilland; several great grandchildren and nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and his son, Floyd Lee Small.
