Arthur Robert McCullough, 94

Arthur Robert McCullough, 94, of Westport, passed away at 7:06 p.m. on Monday, August 11,
2025, at Our Hospice inpatient facility in Columbus. He was born October 15, 1930, in
Decatur County, the son of Simon J. and Mabel (Tanner) McCullough. He had been a Decatur
County resident most of his life, graduated from Sand Creek High School in 1950 and from
Lane College in Indianapolis in 1957 with an associate’s degree in science. He was
employed for 31 years at Cummins Engine Co. as a tool design drafter. Arthur was a
veteran having served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the
Union Flat Rock Baptist Church, the Westport IOOF Lodge #681, the Greensburg American
Legion Post #129, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and Westport Masonic Lodge #52 F.& A.M.
He married Mary Catherine Hull on February 20, 1955, at the Union Flat Rock Baptist
Church. She preceded him in death on October 12, 2011. He is survived by his daughters,
Marla Jane (Eugene) Glover of Lafayette, Monica Jill (Jeff) Morin of Greenfield and
Maretta Jean (Roger) Bushhorn of Westport; his sons, Malvin Jed (Cindy) McCullough of
Butlerville and Myron Jay McCullough of Westport; his 8 grandchildren and 3 great
grandchildren. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Catherine
McCullough; his daughter, Martha Jo McCullough; his sisters; Mary Ellen Perkins, Sydna
Ann Mozingo and Marian Francis Fox; his brothers, James, Donald, Vernon, John David,
Ralph, Harold, Ernest and Joe McCullough and his granddaughter, Abigail Baker. Funeral
services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Bass & Gasper
Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Hankins officiating. Burial will be at the Union Flat Rock
Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 4:00 P.M.
until 8:00 P.M with a Masonic Memorial Service at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial
contributions may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society, Union
Flat Rock Church or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Online condolences can be made
