Barbara Kristine Burkhead, 74, of Greensburg, passed at 9:50 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2022 at her residence. She was born November 4, 1947 in Moxinburg, East Germany, the daughter of Heinrich and Ursula (Merkel) Schulze. She graduated from High School in Germany. She retired in 2013 from Steel Tech in Greensburg. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to casinos and visiting the Great Lakes. Barbara married Clyde (Cork) Raymond Burkhead, Jr. on August 12, 1972 at the First Church of God in Greensburg. Survivors include her husband, Clyde (Cork) Raymond Burkhead, Jr. of Greensburg; her daughter, Amanda Burkhead (Josh Cupit) of Greensburg; her son, Erik (Becky) Burkhead of Westport; her brothers, Wolfgang Schulze, Tomas Schulze and Stefan Schulze all of Germany; her grandchildren; Spencer Burkhead of Westport, Reece Burkhead of Westport and Ellie Cupit of Kokomo. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Deter Merkel and Martin Schulze. Following her wishes, she will be cremated and a Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the Cornerstone Christian Fellowship (7414 East Michigan Road Waldron, Indiana).
