Betty Lorene Harrison, 89, of Westport, passed away at 1:43 p.m. on Tuesday,
April 2, 2024 at Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg. She was born on
February 27, 1935 in Greensburg, the daughter of Donald L. and Lucy L. (Kirk)
Foster. She was born and raised in Decatur County and graduated from Greensburg
High School in 1954. She was a member of the Rock Creek Baptist Church and the
Golden Key Home Economics Club. She enjoyed crafts such as jewelry and ceramics,
vacationing in Florida and the Smoky Mountains and spending time with her
family. Betty married Howard L. “Leeboy” Harrison on June 5, 1954 in Greensburg.
He preceded her in death on November 28, 2009. She is survived by her sons,
Roger L. (Jean) Harrison of Westport and Tony L. (Stephanie) Harrison of Deputy;
her brother, George L. Foster of Greensburg; 4 grandchildren, Clint (Jane)
Harrison, Kelli Harrison, Katie (Stuart) Meyer, Bradley (Felicia) Harrison and 8
great grandchildren, Cameron Schwartz, Raygan Harrison, Grady Harrison, Caroline
Harrison, Brailey Harrison, Griffin Meyer, Isabella Harrison and Aubrey
Harrison. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her sister, Dorothy
L. Ray; brothers, Richard L. Foster and Donald L. Foster. Funeral services will
be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral
Home in Westport with Raymond Roberts and Kelli Harrison officiating. Burial
will follow at the Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on
Saturday, April 6, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the
funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Westport Volunteer Fire
