Clara Marie Elliott, 80, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully in her sleep at 8:17 A.M. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at her residence in Greensburg. She was born on April 28, 1941 in Decatur County, the daughter of Cecil and Catherine (Hoegeman) Mozingo. Clara was a lifelong resident of Greensburg. She had retired in 2004 from Delta Faucet after 16 years of service. She was a member of Burney Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and also attended the First Baptist Church in Greensburg, First Church of God in Greensburg and the New Point Christian Church. She enjoyed being a seamstress having made quilts, blankets and dolls. She also enjoyed doing puzzles, gardening, antiquing, flea markets and spending time with her grandchildren. She married Lewis Eugene Elliott on October 2, 1959 in Letts, Indiana and he survives. Other survivors include her daughter, Gloria (Jim) Wenning of Greensburg; her son, Randy (Karen) Elliott of North Vernon; her grandchildren, Tyler (Sarah) Elliott, Travis (Alicia-Fiancée) Elliott, Stephanie (Zach) Meyer, Cameron (Becca) Elliott, Destiny Elliott and Nick Elliott; her great grandchildren, Paisley Elliott, Emilia Meyer, Abigail Elliott and Tinley Elliott. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ronald Elliott and brothers, Robert Lewis Mozingo (in infancy), Alvin Mozingo, Richard Mozingo and 2 great-great grandchildren. According to Clara’s wishes there will be no public visitation. A public graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Mt. Aerie Cemetery in Letts. Bass & Gasper Funeral Home & Crematory in Westport has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Alzheimer’s Association or The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
