Clark “Clarkie” Robert-James Chance, 12

Clark “Clarkie” Robert-James Chance, 12, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023, at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Clarkie was born on December 29, 2010, in Batesville, IN.

Clarkie was a part of the sixth-grade class at Greensburg Junior High School. He had an infectious laugh, whether it was real or fake, which attracted or caught the attention of all. He was always able to put a smile on everyone’s face.  Clarkie loved to watch television with one of his favorite shows being the Wheel of Fortune. Every time he heard the game show come on, his eyes would light up. Clarkie also had a special bond with animals, particularly dogs. He loved to howl at his husky and be around all the service dogs at school, especially Leti. Clarkie was fond of babydolls, listening to “loud” music, Mickey Mouse, and Blues Clues. He always wanted to make sure that he had your attention wherever he was. One of Clarkie’s favorite phrases and things to do was “Booka-Booka.” This was his way of saying “bye-bye.”

Clarkie is survived by his parents, Lori Chance and Linzy Williams; siblings: Dakota Chance, Devon Chance, Colt Black, Gracie Chance, Cierra Williams, Malachi Williams; grandmother, Barbara Jones; uncles: Rob (Vicki) Phillips, James (Ericka) Phillips; several cousins; and he held a special place in his Aunt Nanny’s heart.

Clarkie was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rick Jones, and uncle, Greg Phillips.
