Daryl Gene Thompson, 66, passed away on March 16, 2023 in Indianapolis. He was born on July 21, 1956 to Willace and Nita (Wullenweber) Thompson. He graduated from South Decatur High School in 1974, and was in the banking industry for over 20 years. He then worked at Bridges of Indiana for 10 years. Daryl enjoyed traveling, art, painting pictures and spending time with family and friends. When he retired, he enjoyed volunteering at the hospital.
Survivors include: Brother, Roger (Teresa) Thompson; Niece, Brittany Lane; Great Nephews, Connor and Mason Lane. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:30 pm. Rev. Jerran Jackson will be officiating. A private interment will be at South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
