Diane Philpot, 63, of Seymour, passed away at 3:23 p.m. on Monday, March 29, 2021 at the Seymour Crossing Nursing Home. She was born on March 5, 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of Emanuel & Cora Lee (Kelly) Durham. She was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and had lived in Indiana for 40 years having lived in Butlerville for 28 years and Seymour the past 4 years.She was a member of the First Apostolic Church in North Vernon and drove the church bus for the Apostolic Christian Academy.She enjoyed sewing, quilting, making dolls, cooking and fishing.She married Clarence Thomas Philpot, Sr. on August 12, 1972 in Cincinnati, Ohio and he survives. Other survivors include her children, Jennifer Lynn Lovegrove of Franklin, Tina Marie Ferguson of North Vernon, Clarence Thomas Philpot, Jr. of Bloomington, Christina Leigh Henderson of Hope and Kathalena Nicole Philpot of Seymour; a brother, Simon (Brenda) Messer of Butlerville; 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Nathan Ray Philpot and Brandon Kyle Philpot; grandson, Darron Matthew Lovegrove; brother, Eugene Durham and a sister, Bernice Philpot. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 2, 2021 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Brother John Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Butlerville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Friday, April 2, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
