Donna Jean Smith, 61, of Westport, passed away at 6:55 A.M. on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at her son’s residence. She was born on May 3, 1960 in Greensburg, the daughter of Paul Mitchell & Ella Beatrice “Bea” (Phelps) Smith. Donna had lived in Decatur County her entire life and was a 1978 graduate of South Decatur High School. She worked at KB Foods for 17 years. She enjoyed crafts, swimming and spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends. She is survived by her son, Damon Smith of Columbus; her sister, Deborah White of Greensburg; her brother, Mitchell (Mary Jane) Smith of Greensburg; her grandchildren, Haili Smith & Dason Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, Pascal & Virtie Phelps. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor Gary East officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. Following Donna’s wishes she will be cremated following the service.
