Dorothy M. Billings, 85

Dorothy M. Billings, 85, of Tempe AZ, formerly of Greensburg, IN, passed away into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at her home she shared with her daughter and son-in-law. She was married to her late husband, John A. Billings, for over 52 years. She was born in Shelby County, KY, December 25, 1940, to Roy Timmons and Artie Mae Timmons-Satterwhite.

Dorothy was a beloved Christian woman to everyone she met. She was the best mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and aunt to all her family members. She was an avid card sender, and rarely missed any of her family’s birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, etc. Dorothy was a straight A student in H.S. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Greensburg and was the lead soprano in many Christmas cantatas. She loved her old country music, was an amazing crocheter, cook, and won many speed euchre tournaments in her younger years. She loved word search puzzles, QVC shopping and sending those gifts to her family. She was a businesswoman all her life and retired from Delta Faucet Co. in the 90’s, to work with her late husband on their farm in Greensburg, Indiana.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Amanda (Brian) Burlock of Tempe, Arizona, son Scott (Lisa) Billings of Wabash, Indiana, son Mike (Criss) Billings of New Hampton, New Hampshire, and sister Sue (Tommy) Cox of Elmburg, Kentucky. She had many grandchildren, Josh (Carissa) Cooper, Casey Beisel, Cord Billings, Grant Billings, Paige (Garret) Billings-Foutch, Morgan (Chad) Billings-Earle, Arejay (Stacy) Billings, including step-grandchildren, Chelsea and Alley Traver. She also had fifteen great grandchildren. Gilliland and Howe Funeral Home have been lovingly entrusted with Dorothy’s arrangements. There will be a private family burial at Union Baptist Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with the love of her life, John Billings forever. Condolences may be sent online to Gilliland-Howe.com.
