Edith Irene Scudder, 74, of Greensburg passed away at 5:14 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Columbus Regional Hospital. She was born on May 3, 1947 in Greensburg, the daughter of Ozro and Lorena (Motz) Edmondson. She has been a lifelong resident of Decatur County. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, collecting pigs, watching and feeding birds. She was married to Darrell G. Scudder on October 31, 1991 in Milford, Indiana. He preceded her in death on May 11, 2018. Survivors include her daughters, Mabel Duncan and Tina Florea, both of Greensburg; her son, Joseph Evans of Greensburg; her sister, Ruth Wright of Shelbyville; her five grandchildren and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a grandson, Jeff Washburn. A time of visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday February 16, 2022 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home at Westport. Burial will be held at a later date at the Forest Hill Cemetery at Shelbyville. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Decatur County Animal Shelter.
