Fred D. Caffee, 72, Greensburg passed away on March 31, 2024 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital.
Fred was born on May 9, 1951 in Edmonton, Kentucky to Chester and Gladys (Harper) Caffee.
After High School, Fred joined the Marines and served as a Merchant Marine for 4 years. He then became a Barge Captain for over 20 years in Florida.
Fred was married to Debbie Huntington on October 25, 1974 and she preceded him in death on January 1, 2020.
He is survived by his daughter; Nicole Caffee, Greensburg, two brothers; Al Caffee, Greensburg, Jim (Donna) Caffee, Greensburg, sister; Bonnie (Wayne) Wade, Greensburg, 8 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents; Chester and Gladys Caffee, the love of his life; Debbie Huntington, two daughters; Angie Gault and Amy Caffee, and one brother; Jerry Caffee.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 11am to 1pm at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home followed by Funeral Services at 1pm with Rev. Terry Canfield officiating. Interment with military rites will follow at South Park Cemetery.
