Jerrell “Jerry” Brewsaugh, 74

Jerrell “Jerry” Brewsaugh 74 of Greensburg passed away on August 19, 2021.

Jerry was born on December 30, 1946 in Decatur County as the son of Orville and Lucille (Moulton) Brewsaugh.

Jerry graduated from Clarksburg High School on May 18th, 1965. During his high school years, he earned the nickname of “Hindu” that many of his friends still call him today. He was also a member of the FFA organization, Track, Baseball and Basketball teams. He was proud to say he was a member of the Clarksburg High School 1964 Sectional Championship basketball team.

Jerry was employed by Brewsaugh Excavating for many years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing cards, and watching his favorite sports teams, the Indiana Hoosiers, Indianapolis Colts and the Cincinnati Reds. He also enjoyed making and sharing his homemade pickles. However, his true pride and joy was his family.

Jerry is survived by one daughter Melissa (Steven) Yeley of Westport, one son Tony (Susan) Brewsaugh of Batesville; 3 grandchildren Victoria (Brandon) Phillips of Vine Grove, KY Luke Weber of Westport and Kristofer (Ashley) Brewsaugh of Louisiana. 2 great-grandchildren Grayson Phillips and Carmen Brewsaugh, and former son-in-law Tony Weber of Westport. Also surviving are siblings, brother Jack (Maureen) Brewsaugh, sisters Shirley (Dale) Schwering, Janice Johnston, Ruth Flack and Sara (Greg) Meyers, sister-in-laws Carolyn Brewsaugh and Darlene Brewsaugh, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Richard Brewsaugh, Robert Brewsaugh, Don Brewsaugh, Roger Brewsaugh; sister-in-law, Barbara Brewsaugh; brother-in-law, Dave Johnston; nephews: Mike Brewsaugh, Darren Francis, and Eric Brewsaugh.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 10:00 to 12:00 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral home in Greensburg, Indiana. A funeral service will follow immediately after the visitation. To leave online condolences please visit www.popfuneralhome.com
