Karen Jo “JoJo” Pulley, 58, of Alert, passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Thursday,
February 20, 2025 at her residence. She was born on May 27, 1966 in Columbus,
the daughter of Martin H. & Millie (Felts) Pulley. JoJo was a lifelong resident
of Alert and a 1984 graduate of South Decatur High School. She had worked at DSI
Industries in Columbus and was a member of the Alert United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed looking at pictures and watching TV, ballgames, westerns and Archie
Bunker were her favorites. Jojo was an avid birdwatcher from her window. She is
survived by her father, Martin H. Pulley of Alert and her lifelong caregiver,
Jan Morris, which she referred to as her “bestie”. She was preceded in death by
her mother. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February
24, 2025 at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Rev. Connie Barr
officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery. A time of visitation
will be held on Monday, February 24 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at
12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude
