Lee Watts, 40

Lee Michael Watts, 40, of Columbus, passed away at 1:02 p.m. on Sunday, January
12, 2025, at Columbus Regional Hospital. He was born September 5, 1984, in
Columbus, the son of Tom and Danita (Deaton) Watts. He was a lifelong resident
of Columbus and was a 2003 Graduate of Columbus East High School. He previously
worked as a salesman for Hubler Honda. He attended St. Peters Lutheran Church,
and the Sidekicks Walk and Run program. Lee was an avid motorcyclist with a
sense of humor enjoyed by all. He loved his dogs Nera and Sunny and found joy in
time spent with family. He is survived by his mother, Danita Watts of Columbus;
his father, Tom (Celia Allman-Watts) Watts of Columbus; his daughter, Maeva
Lillian Watts of Columbus; his companion, Melinda Palmer of Columbus,
grandmother, Anna Bass of Columbus; his brother, Randall Watts of Columbus, his
aunt, Carla Shera of Deputy and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. He was
preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Flannery Watts, his maternal
grandparents, Virgil & Ruby Deaton. The funeral service will be conducted at
2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with
Pastor Tim Carter officiating. A burial will follow at Westport Cemetery. A time
of visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. on
Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be
