Lois June Thomas, 73

Lois June Thomas, 73, of Greensburg passed away on February 1, 2022. She was born on November 26, 1948 in Greensburg, the daughter of Richard L. and Glenna J. (Long) Powers Sr. Lois was a 1967 graduate of Sand Creek High School. She worked at Print Pak for 40 years. When the plant closed, she retired and honored her father’s wishes and became a caregiver to her mother until her death, giving her sainthood. She also spent her retired years loving on her family and helping others, especially those she loved. It was her greatest joy. She loved her family fiercely and would do anything for them. One of her most special talents was being a peacemaker. She was the kindest, most giving, and selfless person. Lois loved to have lunch with her son, stay weekends with her daughter, binge Yellowstone, special visits, or lunches with her grandsons and keeping up with her granddaughter’s successes. She loved to go out to eat or hang out with her niece and nephews, shopping trips with her two sisters, or time on the farm helping out.
Lois is survived by her son, Jerome Thomas of Greensburg, daughter, Julie Thomas of Springville, her grandchildren, Samuel (Kelsey) Thomas of Springville, Avery Thomas of Greensburg, and Kellen Thomas of Hope, brothers, Richard L. Powers Jr. of Greensburg and William “Bill” (Chrystal) Powers of Westport, sister, Joyce (John) Whiteman of Westport, and brother-in-law, Kenny Baughman of Clarksburg.
Nieces, Ashley Baughman, Natalie (Lloyd) Stephen, & Skylar (Noah) Powers, nephews, Aaron (Whitney) Baughman, Jesse (Liv) Baughman, Mason Powers, & Adam Whiteman.
great nieces/nephews – Dakota Baughman, Neveah Baughman, Bo Baughman, Gavin Stephen, and Brodie Whiteman.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, sister, Phyllis Baughman, great nephew, River Baughman and great niece, Roselynn Baughman.
