Lucille Wenning, 95

Lucille Wenning, 95, Greensburg, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 at the
Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.
Born, January 28, 1928 in Franklin Co., Indiana, she was the daughter of Frank and
Regina (Macke) Haskamp.
Lucille was a faith filled, loving, mom, mother-in-law, grand and great grandmother,
sister, aunt, and friend to all. Being an excellent cook, her family enjoyed her
homecooked meals, for special occasions, and just for a Sunday get together. In her
younger years, she catered for weddings and she and Bob enjoyed going to dances and
having a good time with family and friends.
She retired in 1995 from the Greensburg Junior High where she worked for 25 years. She
was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg, Modern Trends Home
Ec Club, the St. Lawrence Auxiliary, and she volunteered with church and community
organizations.
She was married to Robert J. Wenning on August 30, 1950 and he preceded her in death
on February 5, 2010.
She is survived by two sons, Mark (Barb) Wenning, Greensburg, Stephen Wenning
(Robin Cain), Greensburg; one daughter, Diane (Jerry) Saler, Greensburg; one sister,
Roselyn Senft; one sister-in-law, Deloris Haskamp; seven grandchildren, Cindy
Wellman, Jodie (Scott) Forkert, Shaelee Wenning, Landon Wenning, Kinsey Wenning,
Stanton Wenning, and Adam Wenning; 4 great grandchildren, Brayden Forkert, Shelby
Forkert, Tava Wenning, and Kingston Wellman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harold and Robert Haskamp;
one sister, Marjorie Haunert.
A public rosary will be prayed at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 31st at St. Mary’s Catholic
Church in Greensburg followed by visitation until 11:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will
follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Interment will be held in the St.
Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg.
