Martha J. Veatch, 88, of Martinsville, passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 at Grand Valley Health & Rehab.
She was born Tuesday, May 2, 1933 to the late Wayne and Algie (Acton) Burcham in Greene County, Indiana. On July 18, 1970, she married her husband, Lee A. Veatch who passed away August 30, 2006.
Martha was a 1951 graduate of Bloomfield High School. She eventually retired from Morgan Hospital where she had worked in patient accounts. Martha was fond of her flowers and loved to sew and cook for others. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family, particularly her grandkids.
She is survived by her sons, William Verseman and Cindy, Gary Verseman and wife Judy, James Verseman and wife Kathy; daughter, Mary Beth Baldridge and husband Mike; stepsons, Ronald Veatch, John Veatch; stepdaughter, Kimberly Veatch; brother, Joe Burcham; sister, Elizabeth Henderson.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Lee; parents, Wayne and Algie; stepdaughter, Debra Gentry; brothers, Wayne Burcham, Martin Burcham; sister, Mary Fuller; granddaughter, Miranda Fletcher.
Visitation is 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Costin Funeral Chapel. Services are 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2021 at Walnut Grove Church in Bloomfield with an hour of visitation prior to the service.
Burial will follow the service at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
