Mary Jane Huls, 87, of Greensburg, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Life’s Journey Hospice. She was born on April 23, 1939, in Knoxville, Tennessee, the daughter of Victor and May (Like) Dance.
Throughout her life, Mary held various jobs, including two that were especially meaningful parts of her working life. She worked as a beautician and later spent 15 years as a supervisor at New Horizons before her retirement.
Mary was very active with American Legion Post 129. She enjoyed camping, planting flowers, and remodeling houses. She always seemed to have a project going and took great pride in keeping busy.
On August 26, 1972, Mary married Robert “Bob” Huls. He preceded her in death in 1998.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Brenda Campbell; daughter-in-law, Sharon Rigby; grandchildren, Michael (Betsy) Rigby, Bryan (Lindsay) Rigby, Cierra Rigby, Sabrina (Chad) Coulter, and Angela (Steve) Ludwig; great-grandchildren, Jayce Rigby and Hayden Rigby; and brother, Gene (Maggie) Dance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Brian Rigby, Richard “Keith” Rigby, and Johnny Campbell; and siblings, Fred Dance, Jack Dance, Hazen Dance, Hazel Davis, Lilly Mae Nicholas, Susie Smith, and Retta Brodas.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A time of sharing memories will begin at 2:00 p.m.
Placement at South Park Cemetery will take place at a later date.
