Michael Wayne Eckels, 63, Westport, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022, at his residence. He was born on October 7, 1958, in Lorain, Ohio the son of Donald Wayne and Bettie Jean (Lieman) Eckels. He enjoyed gaming, playing guitar, sketching, Rock & Roll, and crossword puzzles. Most of all he cherished spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Healy of Billings, Montana; his son, Schuyler Michael Eckels of Indianapolis; his sister, Paula Eckels of North Vernon, and his brother Richard Stephen Eckels of Kannapolis, North Carolina and his 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Cinda Lu Lewis and brother, John William Eckels. Following his wishes, he will be cremated. The Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.
