Paulette (Bentley) Lane, 81, of Greensburg, passed away at 3:10 p.m. on
Friday, January 3, 2025 at Morning Breeze Healthcare Center in Greensburg. She
was born on February 18, 1943 in Indianapolis the daughter of Paul and Catherine
(Baker) Alexander. She was born and raised in Indianapolis and was a graduate of
Arsenal Tech High School. She had been a resident of Decatur County since 1961
and was a bank teller at Union Bank & Trust. Paulette enjoyed building and
decorating miniature doll houses. She married Sheridan Ray Bentley on April 15,
1961 and he preceded her in death on November 19, 1989. She then married Raymond
R. Lane on December 7, 1994 in Maui, Hawaii. He preceded her in death on
November 21, 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Susannah Sering of
Greensburg; granddaughter, Alexandra (Joseph) Kreppin of Columbus; great
grandchildren, Juliet, Madeleine, Alice and Philip all of Columbus. She was
preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Sheridan Ray Bentley and Raymond
Lane and a daughter, Paula Bentley. Following her wishes she will be cremated
and there will be no visitation or service. Bass & Gasper Funeral Home &
Crematory have been entrusted with handling the arrangements. Memorial
contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude
