Peggy S. Morris, 66, of Greensburg, passed away at 11:07 p.m. on Wednesday,
March 12, 2025, at Franciscan Health Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on
August 11, 1958, in Franklin, Indiana, the daughter of Richard D. and Berneta L.
(Speers) Mattingly. She was a 1976 graduate of Triton Central High School and
has been a resident of Greensburg since 2000. She worked for Pugh’s Cabinets in
London, Indiana for 20 years. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in
Greensburg. She enjoyed camping, cooking, boating and being a free spirit. She
married Jimmie Joe Morris on March 21, 2003 in Greensburg. He preceded her in
death on September 28, 2021. Survivors include her daughter, Jenny Jo Thomas
(Jeff Brogan) of Greensburg; her sister, Mary Alice (Andrew) Anderson and Pam
(John) Nicholson both of Shelbyville; her two grandsons; Isaiah J. Manuel and
Zach J. Holler. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her
brothers, Tom Mattingly, Bob Mattingly and Mike Mattingly. Following her wishes
she will be cremated. There will be no services or visitation. Bass & Gasper
