Rebecca Lynn Deiwert, 49

Rebecca Lynn Deiwert, 49, of Greensburg, passed away on March 4, 2022. She was born on July 25, 1972, in Greensburg, Indiana the daughter of Michael “David” Bennett and Elsie Goins (Blanton).  Rebecca was a 1990 graduate of Greensburg Community High School. She also graduated from Vincennes and Purdue University.  She married Donald “Dog” Deiwert on October 9, 2004, where she committed to take in his two sons as her own. Rebecca worked for Mesco Manufacturing for over 10 years as the HR Manager as well as several other roles. She was highly devoted to her community as she was one of the pillars of the Greensburg Youth Football program since 2007. She even integrated herself into GCHS sports by becoming the “team mom” of both the football and wrestling teams. Her care and love for the community’s youth was only outmatched by that for her friends and family. This was evidenced by her never missing a single event for her two sons while battling and beating cancer in 2009.
